About

I'm not just in it for the money. I am very competitive so I thrive on pride. Pride of a job well done. Pride of seeing my students walk away with a smile on their face. Pride in seeing them return with that same smile because I did my job right. Pride in seeing my students excel in the game that I have come to love.

I have loved the game of golf since I first stepped foot on that short grass in high school. I was coached through high school golf my Jr year and became the first golfer to represent my high school at the State Championships in 14 years. I am now 36 and love it just as much as the first day that I played it.The game always keeps you guessing because it never plays out the same. You can have the worst game of your life and yet you will always come back because you learn from mistakes and you know you can do better. Being out in the open fairways with the fresh cut grass zoning everything else out except for the small flag in the distance challenging yourself to make "the perfect shot". That is what I want my students to feel.

    Frequently asked questions

For a beginner in the sport I start with:

Session 1- Find your knowledge and comfort in the sport. Work on proper stance, grip, swing, and weight distribution. Generally very limited range time as your body is not accustomed to all the twisting and torque that golf requires. (You will be sore the next day)

Session 2- More aggressive range time. Mostly long clubs, work on proper swing technique, balance, grip and contact

Session 3- More long club grip, swing, balance, and contact to increase muscle memory while adding aiming and accuracy.

Session 4- Irons! Grip, club face contact, ball placement in stance, club swing contact.

Session 5- Irons! Grip, club face contact, ball placement in stance vs club and distance, club swing contact, aiming, and accuracy.

Session 6-Putting! Proper stance, grip, feel, club face angle, and power.

Session 7-Putting! Stance, grip, feel, club face angle, power, and adding alignment and accuracy.

All sessions have the option to be repeated as many times as the student feels necessary to gain the most comfort and knowledge from them.

Optional Sessions- $40+my green fee for a full 18 holes of instruction. Put your knowledge into action. Learn on the course how to compensate for tough lies, obstacles, sand hazards, etc. That is nearly 4 hours of instruction for approximately $80-$90!

I played high school golf my Jr and Senior years. I was the first person to represent my high school at the State Championship in over 14 years. I have an extreme passion for the game and 19+ years of experience.

    Sessions 1-7 - $60/hr +cost of range balls ($8-$15 generally)

18 hole sessions- $40+ Both mine and your green fees

I have always had a passion for the sport. I have played and practiced for years to increase my own abilities. Several times I have played with friends and co-workers that have golf experience but just can't seem to fix that one thing in their game whether it be a slice, hook, driver, or iron. They have asked me for help and after a few minor adjustments they were crushing the ball straight down the fairway. Seeing the smile on their faces was priceless! Friends have encouraged me to instruct others but I had brushed it off as just a compliment. One friend told me "You have changed the way I feel about the game". I finally decided that if I could bring a smile to others faces and help them enjoy the game as much as I do it would be the next step increasing my love of the game.

Primarily I have worked with students from 18 all the way up to late 50's. Anyone can learn the game and enjoy it well after retirement!
