I focus on a very specific genre of music and style of guitar playing. No hot cross buns here! What i have to offer is what worked for me and what works for me peers. Im not your typical teacher, i'm a real guy, in real band(s). I have extensive knowledge about modern guitar, analog and digital gear, and audio engineering. I have a fully equiped home recording studio with all state of the art equipment including pro tools 12, Logic Pro X/garageband. Irig/amplitude. Im just as happy to teach audio recording, drum machine programming, midi and virtual instruments. I can work on everything except a broken heart, its up to you which direction youd like to explore!
I love everything about it! Even the not so fun stuff i love. Music is where i belong, always have, when you know you know. My favorite thing is creating a new song. Once its uploaded online its out there forever. Its literally a digital snapshot of me and my life at a fixed point in time that will live on long after im gone. Maybe someone or something??? Hears it a thousand years from now. Maybe it changes or inspires them and they create something and so on and so forth. Maybe this is already happening and im a small part of a big machine! Talk about life after death. Of course theres the very real possibility that mp3's will be obsolete in twenty years and even if someone wanted to hear my music they couldnt find a player for it. I like the first scenario better :-)
All daydreaming aside. Ive been playing guitar for 30 years. Ive been playing professionally for five years, semi professionally for 25. Ive worked with some of the more respected names in the industry, hopefully soon someone will be dropping my name on one of these things!
I have a sense of humor and a big imagination, translated im a 6foot tall child. Kidding -sorta, in all seriousness im not very good at talking about myself. Im quiet bordering shy. Music gave me the voice i seemed to be missing. I am terrific at answering questions amd hardly anything is out of bounds! If strict music theory is your goal, im not your guy. If real life results with real ways to approach playing, performing, practicing, writing, recording is your goal. Your guy...right here!!
I should mention i have a six pound guard dog . Hes a chihuahua named Rolo, he takes lots of naps

Goals obviously but more importantly this is music. Music isnt a goal. I would want to get to know the student as best i can to learn about what interests them, what motivates them, what blocks them, in short its different for every student
