I love watching riders progress and gain confidence. I love working with all of our lesson horses and seeing the horses enjoy taking care of their riders.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Meadowbrook Ranch’s lesson program strives to teach riders the fundamentals of horseback riding from the ground up. We teach our students how to take care of horses as well as how to be effective riders. Students learn the terminology of the tack, horse anatomy, proper grooming techniques, and develop lifelong horsemanship skills. We focus on beginning riders and give them a solid foundation so the rider can go in any direction they choose, whether it be anything from Western, English, Jumping, to Dressage.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Meadowbrook's lesson instructor Alex caught the horse bug when she was a little girl and never outgrew it! She’s always had a horse in the family and her favorite activity as a child was anything involving a horse. Alex recently graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in Equine Science and has chosen to pursue a career with horses.
