Nico is an excellent trainer. He has the rare combination of high-level riding knowledge with emotional intelligence. Nico is skilled at supporting the mental, as well as the physical and technical process of riding, for horses and people. He runs a top-notch program.

Absolutely amazing, so friendly, welcoming and professional. Very thoughtful and listened to our family needs and made sure the person riding- that being my Wife, Daughter and Son all had the right attention. Every detail was explained and all directions made it very easy to build a trust with Nico. Nicos passion and love to teach and provide direct feedback while giving lessons shows his patience and love for the Horses, the People and everyone involved with VDM Sport Horses. My family enjoys all the things associated with taking lessons while he helps grow the young minds, work ethic, attitude, desire needed for this sport. My wife got back into riding and has grown her capabilities beyond her expectations. Being a coach myself in other sports, Nico is top notch and I trust my families life and future fun and desire to be good at this sport. WE cannot wait to grow more under his guidance, professionalism and personable traits that make taking riding lessons unique and fun!

We are so fortunate to have been introduced to Nico and VDM! It all started with my 3 year old daughter wanting to ride a horse. After several lessons with her, Nico encouraged me to get back in the saddle after more than 20 years away. And most recently my 12 year old son joined us in taking weekly lessons.

Nico is excellent with all ages and all rider abilities. For my kids, he makes it fun and safe. For me he did a wonderful job of assessing my riding ability and building lessons that are appropriate.

I really appreciate that he is teaching my kids the responsibilities of riding not just how to ride. He is teaching them proper safety, grooming, horse care and barn etiquette.

The barn feels comfortable and welcoming. The lessons are challenging and encouraging. If you are looking for a family friendly place to learn to ride or fine tune your riding for the next level, then you have to call VDM!

Nico is very professional and knowledgeable and great with the horses in training rides as well

Nico is fantastic! He teaches horsemanship and how to become 1 with the horse. Hes patient yet knows sometimes a push is needed! Love what hes done when working with my granddaughter and others that I observe when I am at the barn! Highly recommend him!

VDM and Nico are awesome. He has helped me establish new goals with my horse and provides excellent coaching and mentoring. Every time I get to the barn, I have a great time. There is a great family atmosphere that makes me feel like part of a team.
