About

I’m a NSCA certified personal trainer working out of my home studio close to Southlands Mall. I’ve been weight training for over 35 years and I specialize in resistance training. I believe that training with weights is the best way to rev up your metabolism & prevent those lbs. from creeping on. I work mainly with women over 30 & love helping others live the healthy Colorado lifestyle. I am also certified Senior Fitness Specialist and Senior Strength and Conditioning Specialist.

I enjoy helping others get strong & healthy & learn how to eat to optimize their lives.

Our first session is a complete fitness assessment to form a baseline and help me design a workout program specifically designed for each individual.

I have been working out and active for most of my life and lifting weights for over thirty years. I have competed as a bodybuilder, worked as a personal trainer at Ballys, taught woman’s group weightlifting classes for the City of Lakewood and won the Max Muscle Maxformation contest. I also have a complete gym in my basement and have been training people on a part-time basis at my home gym for about twelve years. After leaving my previous sales career, I enrolled in and completed the extensive eight month Personal Trainer Academy at the Community College of Aurora. Upon completion of the program, I obtained my National Strength and Conditioning Association certification. In addition to this certification, I am also certified as a senior exercise specialist, senior strength and conditioning specialist and have my CPR/AED certification.

I worked for forty years in different sales jobs; the last twenty years spent selling office furniture. At the age of sixty, I was experiencing severe career burnout and stress. I had also developed degenerative arthritis in both hips and lived in constant pain for four years. I had both my hips replaced and after getting my new hips, it was like getting a second chance at life and I decided to do something I loved rather than just work to make money.  I realized I could turn my lifelong love of health and fitness into a new career. In 2013 I decided to utilize my knowledge of working out and nutrition to pursue a career as a certified personal trainer. I decided to change my life to help others change theirs.

I work mainly with women over 30 and seniors.
