About
As an actor, director, and screenwriter with a lifetime education and resume consisting of a theatre and film, I have the experience and knowledge it takes to sharpen your acting ability. Using a combination technique that integrates method, experience, and imagination, I can guide you through any acting scene, monologue, or upcoming audition. I have worked as an actor on major features and in all levels of theatre. I have won awards in festivals for my work as an actor and filmmaker. The truth is, anyone can act if they have the right teacher that can guide them out of their fears and blocks and help them find their deep and honest well of emotions. I can Do just that. Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I will evaluate the student needs and go from there. Is this a one-time coaching session for an audition? Do you have a need for on going rehearsal coaching? What's your experience level with acting? On film? On the stage? Typically for a fairly novice student who wants on going weekly or bi-weekly lessons, prior to meeting I will send them a monologue to memorize, and then they will perform it for me at our first lesson. In that lesson I will help them look at the choices they made, the choices they could have made, and help them do character break down sheet. Then they will practice on implementing the changes they made and mix in the texture of the character from the breakdown worksheet. The next time we meet they will perform the monologue again. And the process will repeat until we have fully discovered all that the character has to offer, then we will move on to a new piece.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I grew up acting. I went to a prestigious performing arts school. I have worked as a professional actor in film and television theatre. I have won national acting competitions. I have directed film and stage productions.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
60$ an hour for one private lesson with a student, usually a one on one session would be two hours.
80$ an hour for scene studies, typically two actors/students, and that can last two to three hours.
Monthly rate info: 200$ flat rate gives you four two hour one on one lessons. If you need to add a scene partner for any reason to one of your appointments it's an additional 20$ an hour rate.
How did you get started teaching?
I have been directing and helping fellow actors for years. Only recently with these times we are all going through have I decided to make it a profitable business. I am Covid Negative and have Antibodies. I have proof of my last test. I will be wearing a mask if we are in doors and in close proximity.
