Wellshire is located in there heart of Denver with sweeping views of the front range mountains. Entering into it's 92nd year it has hosted the like of Ben Hogan, Arnold Palmer and William Wright in its younger years. Wellshire is the classic country club layout but is part of the Denver Parks and Recreation Department. One of Denver's favorite facilities for tournaments, weddings and a whole host of other special events at our Wellshire Inn Banquet facility. Our service matches our history, memorable and true to our word. We will do everything in our control to insure your memories carry on for years to come.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My philosophy with new students is to provide the simplest form of detailed instruction so that you are able to enjoy this great game for years to come
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a Class A member of the PGA for over 20 years. I will provide you with tools to make this game just a bit better each time you practice or spend the afternoon with family or friends at your favorite facility. This is a tough sport but just a few tips and some tricks can make the world of difference.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Our lesson fees are $60 for one 1/2hr lesson or you can purchase a package of 4 sessions for $200. Group lessons are also available and can be discussed if that is the avenue you choose, after all it is better with friends and family.
How did you get started teaching?
I have been involved with golf for almost 38 years both as a player and administrator. The playing part, as you can imagine takes the best of the best to make it to the Tour. I decided long ago that helping others enjoy this great game was exactly where I needed to be. That meant for me to return to the course I grew up on and become the Head Golf Professional and also serve the citizens of Denver and beyond.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with kids as young as 3 and older kids nearing the 100 yr mark. I have also worked extensively with the Special Olympics, The Denver Parks Special Needs Program and most recently the Wellshire HOPE program that uses golf as a modality for service men and women to help them cope with many different challenges from servibg in our armed forces.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I think that personalities must agree when hiring anyone especially a teacher from whom we put our trust and time with to learn a new skill or refresh one that may have had a period of dormancy.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
I think students must first have some idesa of what their goals are before hiring anyone to help guide them. Without a direction neither the student nor the instructor will have a game plan for their time spent together.
