Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Interview by either phone or video call to assess level of experience, as well as clarify what exactly they are wanting to achieve.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a veteran of the United States Army of ten years, serving half of that overseas. While in service, I was infantry, serving in 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment; 1st Battalion, 25th Infantry Regiment; 2nd Squadron, 2nd Striker Cavalry Regiment; 5th Corp Long Range Reconnaissance; and 2 Battalion, 8th Infantry Regiment.
Currently, I am an active government contractor serving as a security consultant for a government agency in austere environments around the globe.
My training is vast in martial arts (30 years of practice and application), individual/team based combat tactics (16 years), self/home/vehicle defense (15 years), intelligence operations (10 years), firearms instruction basic/advanced (16 years) and security operations (all spectrums, 15 years).
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Price is dependant on time needed with student, level of training and duration, funds readily available from student (not here to bankrupt anyone), equipment and time availability of myself. All can be discussed via initial interview.
How did you get started teaching?
While in the military, I became a master level instructor.
What types of students have you worked with?
All types, from zero experience to seasoned professionals.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Be open minded, but practical. Have questions prepared, and if something sounds like it'll turn you into John Wick in a matter of days, run.
