    I think that a crossfit style gym and functional movement without injury is a hard thing to find, but that's what attracted me to Will's approach at Mountain Strong. Almost four years ago, I showed up with major low back issues. I was one step away from going under the knife for major surgery. Training with Will was my last gasp effort to address this differently. Will was mindful to this, and helped me shape things over time to correct and strengthen a very weak core area, which translated to progressively less back pain. My friends and peers thought it was crazy and still don't quite get how he did this, but I attribute his attention to detail with training as a major translation to feeling healthy and pain free the majority of the time. He would not let my ego or pride get in the way of correct lifting and movement and for this reason, I have been able to build a foundation for low back strength and overall fitness. I feel that the past four years has been money well spent with training from Will and the folks at Mountain Strong.

    Will is very good at tailoring his training to individual client needs. My wife and I hired him to teach us the olympic lifts. We're both over 40 and have different physical limitations, technique deficiencies, etc. Will quickly took stock of where we were each at, guided us through correctional/foundation work and had us pulling some impressive power cleans a few weeks later. We really enjoyed our time with him and look forward to working with Will on other fitness goals.

    I know Will from being a member of his Mountain Strong crossfit gym. His expertise and communication have been incredibly valuable! I remember after getting some of the basics down, the first moment he came over after class and said, "You can do more. Next week, you're adding weight." Not every fitness expert is a communication expert...Will is. He knows my strengths and weaknesses, and knows when to say "Go for it" and when to give encouragement on a bad day. As a result, within 6 months I'd lost 25 pounds, gotten familiar with lifts I'd never done before, and generally felt like more of an athlete than I have since college.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I start all new clients with a 15 minute consultation where we get to know each other and talk about goals and any limitations.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I was an international level swimmer and have been training at an elite level for over 20 years.  I'm a certified weightlifting coach, own my own gym, and have nearly 10,000 hours of coaching experience.

I do a free 15 minute consultation for all new clients.  

1 Hour Session: $75

5 Sessions: $300

10 Sessions: $500

4 Nutrition Coaching Sessions: $120
