What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Before the first session: ASSESSMENT
Phone call to discuss areas of improvement and talk over material. Finding out what type of learner the student is. Create a plan that works for the student.
1st Session: Begin bettering the students skills, starting off with the basics of the course.
2nd + Sessions: Start reviewing individual topics and practicing healthy learning habits. Develop good tips and tricks depending on the student to stimulate remembrance of material.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am pursuing a Civil Engineering degree and a Mathematics minor at Hofstra University. I have worked with middle/highschool students with math subjects.
I am currently enrolled in college and graduating soon. I know what it is like to not understand material. I have developed a process that I apply when I do not understand. Because of this, I have seen great results. Everyone learns differently.
Not every teacher understands this or is willing to help or step out of their safety zone to help teach students that do not grasp the means of their teaching. There is always another route to the same problem! I am here to help and encourage students to find out which way they learn!

Singles: $50 per hour lesson
Package: $500 per month (3 total hours per week for 4 weeks)
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching in high school through the honors program for middle schoolers. When I started college, I started helping high school students.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
The tutor needs to understand your goals for the course and exercise different ways of learning to ensure a better understanding of material.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
1- Have you tried anything on your own? (YOUTUBE /Peer tutors/reading the textbook)
2- Are you willing to put 100% in order to get results?
3- Are you willing to put in the extra work outside of the classrooms and lessons?
