Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Book an evaluation session for just $30. I will help you uncover your own goals for your practice, and evaluate your current level of flexibility, body awareness, and skill.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a lifelong yoga lover.
I have studied yoga for over 25 years in the Iyengar, Kripalu, Anusara, and Freedom Style yoga traditions. The traditions I have studied range from the athletic to the spiritual; I can teach students of all levels of athletic ability and interests, and of all ages. I love to help people learn to use yoga to heal themselves.
Though I have had a dedicated practice with many teachers, the one I am most associated with is yoga master Erich Schiffmann, author of the best-selling book Yoga: The Spirit and Practice of Moving into Stillness (the second best selling yoga book of all time).
Now I teach in Stony Brook, NY, on a private basis helping my students to reach their own personal goals at the pace that best fits their needs
