Many people think they cannot do Yoga. You do not have to be flexible or strong to do Gentle Yoga. I modify poses for people and allow people to work at their own level of ability. I also help people relax. I combine gentle movement, meditation, mindfulness and relaxation. I offer small classes and private sessions so people can receive individual attention.
I am a Certified Yoga instructor and a Certified Movement Analyst . I have been in the Movement field for over 35 years in Manhattan, Westchester and Putnam Counties. htpp.www.wendy.yoga
I love helping people feel better, both physically and mentally. So, often I hear my students say at the end of a class or private session, "I feel so relaxed."
I also love to see my students progress. They get stronger, more flexible and their balance improves. They also feel much calmer. I like the personal relationships I develop with people.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to speak or email with a new student to find out if they have any challenges eg back pain, knee pain etc. and to find out what they are interested in.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a certified Yoga Teacher. I received my certification from Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy. I am also a Certified Movement Analyst who went through the cerification program at the Laban-Bartenieff school of Movement Studies in NYC.
