Lacrosse, Basketball, Volleyball Lessons
About
Hello! My name is Tori Hurley I am a sophomore at Endicott College pursuing a degree in education and a coaching certificate. I am a collegiate lacrosse player at the D3 level. I have experience working with children in school settings, coaching/athletic settings, and camp settings. I have coached lacrosse, basketball, as well as volleyball. I began coaching my junior year of high school, but I have been working with children since I was in 8th grade starting out as a babysitter. I have been playing lacrosse and basketball since 3rd grade, and I started volleyball in 8th grade. It is my goal to help children develop their skills in their desired sport as well as their confidence. I strive to be a positive role model for each child I have the opportunity to work with.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Start off by accessing their skill level and see where they are at currently. Ask questions to see what they would like to work on and improve. I think footwork training is beneficial for any sport.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have coached a third and fourth grade girls basketball team for two years. I taught girls 3rd through 8th grade in lacrosse and I worked with boys and girls in 7th and 8th grade in volleyball. I have also played lacrosse and basketball almost all my life. I recently took a theory and practice in coaching class at college to work towards my coaching certificate. I have assisted my high school lacrosse coach with the team when I have come back from school.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I do not have a standard pricing system at this time.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have had the opportunity to work with children K-College level through various internships through school, as well as my camp counselor job in the summer where I am responsible for teaching sports. I have had the opportunity to work with children who have special needs as well.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find someone who is passionate about the sport, but someone who also knows how to teach it correctly. Someone could know a lot about lacrosse, but that doesn't mean they know the best way to teach it to a student.
