About
I am an artist and illustrator, I've been selling on ESTY since 2009. Prior to that time I've freelanced part time as an illustrator since the late eighties. My work is fun, colorful ad character-driven. I became interested in doll making in 2003 and took a course in needlefelting. I create some of my characters in 3D form and took a workshop with famed needlefelt fiber artist Deborah Pope. I am available to teach this fun and unique form of sculpting in wool. One of my lessons was published Designer's Fiber Book published by Lark Books.
Needlefelting is such a forgiving form of sculpting compared to other mediums. Anyone can end up with a felted piece that they are happy with! And it can be addicting!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I can offer supplies which student will pay for approx. $20-$25 for supplies that include needles and wool.
Needlefelting does take patience so I would start with a small project like needlefelting an ornament.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I took a course at Brookfield Crafts Center in 2003 and also a workshop with NIADA member Deborah Pope in 2012. As an illustrator I was nationally published and now sell my work in a variety of mediums on ETSY.
