About
I am an actor who has been a member of Actor's Equity Association for over 30 years. I studied at Pacific Conservatory for the Performing Arts and at the Conservatory at Webster University. My resume includes Sweeney in The Ballad of Sweeney Todd, Oberon in A Midsummer Night's Dream, and David Lee in The Foreigner, along with many others. My directing credits include Purlie, Bus Stop, Equus, Love Letters, and others.
My acting training was diverse and aimed at being a versatile, working actor. I have always strived to use the text as my starting point when developing a role, striving for an honest, natural performance, and try to bring that out in anyone I have coached.
I have coached sveral people for auditions, including for the Northeast Theater Conference, and they have never failed to received a job offer.
I enjoy working with people one-on-one, helping them to draw upon their own life experience to create characters that are real and relatable.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I prefer to have the student do a short monologue. I use that as a basis for finding the techniques and methods which work best for them.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My training as an actor was steeped in finding a blend of technique and inspiration to acieve a performance which is honest and relatable, with a very practicval focus on what it means to be a working actor. My training as a singer, combined with the vocal training in my acting studies has helped me to fully utilize my voice and body in my performances. I strive to help my students to use their own unique talents and experiences to inform their work.
