About
My classes focus on the application of technology and game elements in education (gamification), such as online, educational, video, and board games, which not only help decrease anxiety but also increase engagement and motivation of students, leading to better acquisition of linguistic elements needed for effective communication.
Language is intrinsically shaped by culture. As an English teacher, I focus on "language understanding"(grammar) and as a Spanish teacher (native speaker), besides providing you with the basic linguistic elements for communication, I will also teach you some Mexican customs and traditions, through the use of authentic material (videos, books, texts, magazines, etc.) and my personal experiences.
I also include films, series and audiobooks in my methodology.
The process of teaching-learning does not only go one way, it goes in every direction; teacher-student-student-teacher.
Sharing my passion for words and games; gamification provides social interaction, which is good for personal and social development.
