Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to see how the student shoots first. We begin with a shoot around, then I see exactly what areas the shooter needs work and we begin to attack that weakness until it is a strength.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Played basketball since I was 6 years old.
Played for a Middle School team that shaped me as a player where we only lost 1 game.
Played for many very competitive adult leagues where we were won the championship a few separate times.
Coached 2 Seasons for an AAU team in New Jersey where we played all over NJ and Pa.
I have coached players of all ages and I have studied the shooting motion inside and out. If you or your athlete wants to improve their shot we can help you do that one lesson at a time.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
40 for a 1 hour Lesson. If you bring me a referral your lesson price goes down to 35 per lesson.
How did you get started teaching?
Basketball to me is the greatest sport in the world and I love helping players improve. Basketball is a game of skills. You can be the greatest athlete in the world but if you don't master the skills you will be an average player. People think that Lebron, Kobe, and Michael Jordan were freak athletes. That is some what true, actually they were great because they work harder than everyone else. Kobe was at the gym at 2 or 3 am 6 days a week and did 6 or 7 workouts a day. Are you willing to do that? Let's see...
What types of students have you worked with?
Elementary
Middle School
High School
College
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Watching my younger brother win the group 4 New Jersey Baseball Championship.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for someone that can bring you the skills you need to get better.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Brainstorm a few questions. Be sure to ask the coach some type of question just to be sure you like what the coach has to say.
