Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The first thing I would do if you decided to work with me is do an extensive assessment of your pitching mechanics. This can be done both online or in person but ideally in person. (If you are online shoot me a text and I’ll give you more details about how it is done virtually) If you are in person this process will take a little less than an hour. It will consist of the athlete going through a guided warmup so that I can watch for any movement dysfunctions. Then the athlete will warm up to throw a very light bullpen. The bullpen can be done on a flat ground or a mound as it does not matter too much to get the data we need. For all the throws that the athlete makes he will be wearing a PULSE device.
Wearing the PULSE will give us objective data such as arm speeds, arms slots, and the amount of stress that you are putting on your elbow with each throw. During your light bullpen we are really just taking a look at your mechanics, accuracy of the ball and velocity is not that big of a factor here. While you are throwing I will be taking lots of video that I can save and slow down to take a deeper in depth look at your kinematic sequence later on while I write the report. The report will consist of the following.
-
A overview of all your mechanics and how they work with one another
-
Your biggest mechanical factors as to why you throw well.
-
Your lowest hanging fruit to gain easy velo
-
Objective data taken from PULSE and the slow motion video that was taken during the assessment.
-
A roadmap of recommendations for what to do next to next on both the throwing and lifting side
-
A list of drills that are personalized to address your biggest mechanical flaws

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I’m a current Collegiate pitcher who has played at high levels of baseball including The Northwoods and Independence Leagues. I have experience coaching age groups 9-18 along with spending time coaching at Driveline Baseball in Seattle Washington.
During my time at Driveline I was fortunate enough to train around countless MLB and professional players along with getting to be around some of the greatest coaching minds in baseball who have gone on to coach for many different MLB organizations.
Along with offering online training I will be spending the Fall and Winter in West Palm Beach to train for my upcoming season and will be offering in person lessons and training to ages 7-18 while I am there.
The training and lessons that I offer are a bit different from your typical “private lesson” as we will use various technologies and data driven decisions so that we can get a more objective idea on how to improve you as a pitcher.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Booking and Pricing
All of my different services can be mixed and matched, so you don’t have to book an assessment to do private lessons, or you don’t have to be doing the throwing programming to do the lifting. However for the best player development experience possible I believe that all of them coming together to work seamlessly with each other is the best way. That way when you come in for lessons we already have an extensive understanding of how you throw, what you need to work on and how much you’re supposed to be throwing that day. That is why I bundle everything together at a discount. Below are my prices, we will typically do lessons at a public field or at a facility. The best way to contact me is by text at 717-991-4627 please leave your name and what you're interested in and I will get back to you right away.

How did you get started teaching?
Started working at Drivleine Baseball as an Assistant coach about 2 years ago. I enjoyed working with kids and athletes and helping them achieve their goals
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all ages from 7 year old all the way to 18 years old
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
A recent baseball event that I'm very fond of would be my summer ball season ending about a month ago. I played in the Northwoods league and it was amazing to play in front of thousands of fans everyday
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Biggest thing Is look for someone who can give you objective data. There's a lot of noise in the baseball world especially with pitching and everyone thinks that they've found the easy "hack" for velo or command, when in reality no such thing exist. Be very wary of someone who promises you quick results. It's a long and hard process, thats why success is so rare.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
You should decide what it is you want to achieve, whether that he velocity, command, mechanics, game mentality. There is a lot that goes into being a good pitcher. Focusing on one thing at a time is the best recipe for success.
