About

My name is Larry Brannon and I have been in and around athletics for my entire life.

As an athlete, I played 6 different sports through high school, played college football at the D1 level, was a professional wrestler, and had an opportunity to play pro baseball as well.

As a coach, I have extensive and successful experience ranging from youth leagues up through the high school level in baseball, football, and girl's lacrosse. I've had direct involvement with over 50 athletes that I have coached making it into the college ranks, (two of whom are my daughters that both play D1 lacrosse), with 5 of them making it to the professional level.

As a teacher, I have 10 years of experience at the high school level, teaching both history and business courses, and have taught and mentored countless kids in regard to their academics throughout my career.

When it comes to football, baseball, and girl's lacrosse, I can help your child improve their game both on and off the field

There are a ton of elements of coaching and teaching that I most enjoy, but the aspect that stands out to me most distinctly is being a part of the process of helping a kid gain confidence in themselves, which allows them to perform at high levels in so many aspects of their lives.

Frequently asked questions

The process of training a potential student begins with an introductory phone call or meeting. We assess at what stage or level the prospective student is at and formulate a game plan to move ahead. Once it has been determined that the combination of the potential student and our services is a good match, we move forward. We go through this process with every student from the outset to determine where to begin and how to get to the final destination.

From an experience perspective, as a player, I was a three-year Varsity Letterman at Martin County high school in Stuart, Florida. My head coach was Former D1 head coach Bill Cubit, with highly successful D3 head coach  Bill Zwaan, and the legendary Lou Saban also being a part of the coaching staff as well.

I played collegiately at both the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga as well as the University of Central Florida in my college career. At UTC, my head coach was future NFL general manager Buddy Nix, and my offensive line coach was well-known NFL coach Joe D'Alessandras. My on-the-field experiences at UCF were cut short due to injuries.

As a coach, I have experience working as an assistant under stand-out Florida high school coach Chip Goerke at Apopka high school, as well as being a part of the staff at Park Vista high school under Coach Brian Dodds. I also previously served as the head football coach at Saint John Paul II Academy in Boca Raton.

From a pricing perspective, we do have some baseline rates that we will typically charge, but we are willing to construct a specific plan for each individual, in regards to frequency of sessions/lessons, experience levels, intensity, etc.… These are items we can discuss once we have had an introductory conversation.

Like many former collegiate athletes, I gravitated toward coaching an individual instruction in the aftermath of my playing career coming to a close. I also have served nearly 10 years total in the education field as a high school teacher at both Park Vista high school and Saint John Paul IO Academy here in South Florida. I have a degree in history, and have specialized in teaching world history, along with business entrepreneurship courses.

I've worked with a wide variety of different students, specific to offense of lineman play in the game of football. Different talent levels, experience levels, ability levels, I've yet to come across a player that cannot be made better, regardless of where they would rank from the outset in any of these categories.

A recent event that I'm very proud of would be my middle child, my second daughter, and her signing her national letter of intent to play lacrosse at the division one collegiate level for Eastern Michigan University. This follows a similar occurrence with her older sister, Delaney, who went through the same process and signed to play and has attended and played at Fresno State University in California at the Division I level in women's lacrosse as well.

Choose wisely. Find a strong fit for you on a personality basis. Make sure that your teacher/coach understands your goals and drive and is excited to be a part of the process of getting you to a place where you can achieve those goals.

Figure out who you are, where you're at, and where you're trying to be. Be goal oriented, in regards to advancing your athletic career, but make sure that a big priority is placed on balance. Your education, family, and a positive and productive mindset I'll have to be given consideration in the big scheme of things, make sure there is balance amongst all of these.
