We are a family based mixed martial arts school that teaches an effective blend of stand up and ground self-defense. Our culture is positive, friendly, and respectful. We are passionate about empowering people to be confident and in the best shape of their lives.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First thing we do is roll out the red carpet! We like to get to know them and what they are hoping to gain from martial arts training. From there, we give them a tour of the school and an introductory lesson.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
- 30 years of martial arts experience/25 years of teaching experience
- Speaker at martial arts industry events
- Awarded the "Rising Tide" award for raising the standards of the martial arts industry
- Awarded the "Leadership By Example" award for walking our talk in the martial arts industry
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
We start everyone off with a 4 week trial program that is $49. From there, we put everyone on our standard training program that ranges from $38-$42/week.
How did you get started teaching?
I was good at martial arts and loved it. I wanted to share my passion with others. I was 15 when I got hired as a part-time instructor in 1992.
What types of students have you worked with?
We work with people of all ages, from 4 years old to 74 years old!
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Our Black Belt Spectacular is by far our most exciting event of the year. Students are graduating to Black Belt and our professional staff and demo team performs. It's amazing!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
1. Look for a CLEAN facility!
2. Make sure the instructors are positive and encouraging.
3. Make sure the culture of the school is positive and respectful!
