I have been taking lessons with Michael for 2/3 of my life... hard to believe I would have the love and appreciation for guitar without his guidance.
He taught me to be constant, accurate, and intense in my passion. He taught me to love music for the sake of playing. He taught me to be myself and reminded me that it was all about having fun and expressing yourself.
Mike is truly an eclectic player; never have I seen someone so well versed in rock, jazz, blues, classical, flamenco, metal, fusion, etc.
The thing that makes Mike a fantastic teacher is that he is a student above all else. Even though calling him a master would be an understatement , he approaches playing through the eyes and ears of a student.
Mike can give you the proverbial keys to the Lamborghini. He has guided me through various stages of my playing and is excellent with beginners and more experienced players such as myself - one warning, you can’t outplay him!
Mike is a 1-1,000,000,000 teacher. Truly lucky to call him my guitar sensei.

Notwithstanding his incredible knowledge of music theory and talent to play, Michael is able to easily explain and show students how to play. He is patient, calm and fun to work with. I highly recommend Michael to anyone who wants to learn how to play guitar or simply get better-at any level.

Michael is the best guitar player Ive ever met! He can play anything and knows all the classic rock songs and contemporary songs. He makes understanding guitar theory interesting and simplified. Lessons with Michael are like being in a rock band and you get to be lead guitar. He will teach you the lead to all the classics exactly how its played on the album. Michael Jacques rocks!!!!!
