I ask the student their goals, and then devise a plan to acheive those goals. I have played and am willing to teach a wide variety of music styles.

Your first guitar lesson with me might include the following:
I usually have beginners do a basic technique exercise, a four chord progression, and learn to read a simple TAB melody. To assess the student's playing ability I talk with them and maybe have them play some things they know.
A guitar lesson with me might entail the following:
Usually I like to mix playing actual songs with learning important things like technique, chords, improv, etc.
The qualities I look for in an ideal guitar student might include the following:
Anyone who is committed and passionate about guitar is an ideal student. I like students that look forward to the lesson.
