About
I have an extensive background in theater. I started dancing, singing, and acting at an early age. I danced in my first musical at a community theater when I was 13. I attened a performing arts high school where I started studying theater. I went on to Howard University and recieved a BFA in theater and then went to Mason Gross School of the Arts and recieved a MFA in theater. I went to New York after that and continued to act and sing throughout my 20 years there. I also started teaching in NY. Now I am married and my husband's job has brought me to Florida. I teach theater right now in a private school in Juno Beach and I am looking to work with students privately.
I have always had a passion for acting and performing. I also happen to love working with children. I have been able to combine both my love for the performing arts and my love for young people with my work in the past 20 years. It's fun to perform and it builds confidence which is what I really appreciate seeing as students build that skill.

How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching as a teaching artist through a company in New York City called The Periwinkle National Theater Company. I realized working with that group, that I have a gift for working with young people.
