About

I specialize in private yoga lessons, a format which allows me to teach and correct pose alignment in students. The private yoga format also enables me to focus on my students' personal goals, and help them to achieve the results they want from a yoga practice.

Yoga offers its students weight loss, toning, muscle building, muscle definition, increased flexibility, reduced stress, relaxation, and serenity. Whether the student is aiming to advance and sharpen their current practice or to simply begin playing with yoga, I offer individualized yoga sessions to help clients get the most out of their yoga routine.

I have been teaching yoga professionally for three years and have been blessed enough to teach in such varied environments as yoga studios, private gyms, country clubs, nature preserves, rehabilitation facilities, and crossfit gyms. I am a 200 hour RYTT certified teacher. My teacher training was completed at Yoga Palm Beach in Palm Beach Gardens and is recognized by Yoga Aliance.

I love teaching yoga to people because of the benefits I know yoga brings.

In terms of mental health, yoga has brought me a greater sense of calm in my everyday life. Learning to breath through challenging yoga asanas or poses has taught me to breath and more serenely handle the things that life throws at me.

From a physical standpoint, three years of yoga has made me immensely more flexible than thirteen years of ballet ever did. Because of a devoted yoga practice, I am stronger and have more muscle definition than I ever have had in my life. Along with looking better physically, yoga makes it feel amazing for me to exist in my body: the euphoria yogis experience after a yoga class, commonly called the "yoga high," is far from a myth. Because of yoga, I feel strong and reslient but I also have more space and freedom in my body because of my increased flexibility.

I love teaching yoga because I know it works, and I value helping people experience the same benefits from yoga that I have.

Shwe’s a wonderful teacher. Brought my practice to an entirely different level. In class you don’t have that one on one and someone to show you how to do the posses correctly. With Lexi , I got my body in the correct position. I love working with her!! (Oh and she’s great with dogs).

Frequently asked questions

I believe it's important to become clear about my student's intentions and goals. Before I do any physical work with my student, I help them to clarify what they are looking to get out of a yoga practice. Do they want to work on correct pose positioning and alignment? Are they after increased flexibility in stubborn parts of the body, like hips and hamstrings? Maybe they are motivated to tone and strengthen their bodies, or build ab and upper body strength. Whether it's weight loss or stress relief the client is looking for, I open up a conversation with the student so that we can both be clear on the results they are looking to get.

Once the student's main intentions are established, I design yoga flows and classes tailored to their needs. I take the client through the flow I've designed for them, providing hands on adjustments to their poses and executions of the poses. I assign the student poses and exercises to work on on their own.

I am a 200 hour RYTT Yoga Teacher (recognized by Yoga Alliance) and certified mat Pilates instructor.

One hour long class is $100 per person.

One hour and a half class is $130 per person.

I have taught everything between first time yoga students to advanced yoga students.

I believe students should become very clear about what they want out of a yoga practice. They may want to focus on weight loss and strength building, or they may want to work on the alignment and difficulty level of their poses. Or maybe they just want to try yoga with an instructor who can knowledgeably correct and assist them. My advice is to be upfront about what you think you'd like to gain from private yoga classes, so that the teacher can decide if they are the best fit for you.
