FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

First step is to evaluate the player. Get a video depicting his mechanics and breaking down his form. Once that is complete we develope a training plan specifically for your player that will target areas needed to be improved and enhance those already above average.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have been in the baseball world for over 45 years. Player and Coach. Have 11 years as a High School Coach and 3 as a Head High School Coach. My staff has helped develope numerous players that have been drafted straight out of High School and others that have gone on to great careers in College Baseball.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

Our staff charges $30 for half hour and $50 for full hour. We also have group sessions throughout the year.

How did you get started teaching?

I just love the game and it's a passion of mine. I started coaching several all star travel teams then at the High School level at Pace High School. Baseball is in my blood and it is hard to live without it..:)

What types of students have you worked with?

Our group of students range from children around 6 years of age to current players in division 1 collegiate baseball and playing at the professiinal level.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

Signing Day. Every year we are blessed to help parents get their child to play at the next level. We also have a program were we take video footage of your son or daughter, help promote him or her throughout the country to get them a collegiate scholarship. Furthermore, we also assist in mentoring young players if they may be a candidate to get drafted by the MLB. We partake in every step from freshman player till draft day. All the little things that can get you drafted high in the draft we know and can show you.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Look at how many years they have been coaching at the high school level or above and see how they were able to get the very best out of each player. A great coach has a distinct eye of what player is and can be. They can see the smallest fault in mechanics and develope a specialized training program to correct said faults. In addition, it is years of experience that one obtains through countless players and pressure filled championships that you home in on what the next level is looking for. The coaches job is to get the player there. Finally, the approach each coach has with each individual player is crucial in development. The really good coaches know that every player is different. Each player gets motivated by different things. The coach has to at times seek that motivation and find a way to get the player in that right mind set to be successful.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

In this day in age we relie on technology to help improve in all aspects in life. I would tell the player or parent to film their child in the area their child needs improvement in. We can review the footage and develope a player specific set of instructions to make the player achieve his goals.
