KnK Martial Arts Lessons
About
Hi my name is Kevin Valdes and I practiced Kung Fu since I was 8 years old in my country (Cuba), also some haikido and some jiu-jitsu but not really learned that much. Then when I was 13 I start learning some Muay Thai with a senior man living near the stadium I always practiced. I did like it a lot, so I start combining both martial arts, and is really effective for my experience. I came to US when I was 16 and in High School I got into the wrestling team but to be honest, it wasn't my thing so I keep practicing those two that I already knew, one more than the other but for me it is the perfect combination, because Kung Fu has weapons, elasticity, speed, etc, and Muay Thai is mortal, your body is your shield. Have both under my knowledge has been great and I want to show the people out there what the unity of this two martial arts can do.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I start asking what he or she knows about martial arts and get to know each other a little bit more. Then I start with at least 3 basic movements every week, off course also depending on what the student knows.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I do this for love to this incredible martial arts, I don't have a price for this if they want and can give me something is ok if not, is fine.
How did you get started teaching?
I get started teaching 10 year old kids when I was 15 years old. Also a few friends of mine have received classes from me.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
My advice is, look for someone who can teach you what you really want. And don't use it for speculate, fight for nothing or something close to that, this is self defense and you can kill with this martial arts.
