What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When I approach a new student, I would usually go by a step-by-step process in helping them understand how to approach drawing by drawing with them.
I would provide them a basic understanding of certain art vocabulary and techniques that would be beneficial during the lesson.
Setting up lesson plans is highly important to me when it comes to helping out other students.
What types of students have you worked with?
The type of students I've worked with was remote.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I was very fond of helping a student learn digital art and the techniques I provided for him. I treated him not like a student but someone who matters and who I will listen to.
I provided him with a basic understanding of the software we were using together as we were using discord. I was able to teach him the lesson and give him my notes for him to study.
He thanks me for helping him get straight to the point and details after.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure you check out their portfolio and see if their expertise is worth learning. A portfolio can tell you a lot about the art the artist produces.
