*Thai Yoga is passive assisted stretches from the floor or massage table (client allows therapist to do all the work!) This is done completely robbed. Its great for joint mobility, immobile persons, circulation issues, and general relaxation.
How did you get started teaching?
I fell in love with the practice myself. I began teaching my grandfather chair yoga at the end of his life to keep his body limber and his mind engaged. It was extreamely fullfilling to give someone increased quality of life at the end of life and be able to help him mentally/emotionally prepare for the final surrender.
What types of students have you worked with?
All types from young to old, from limited mobility to full range of athletic capacity.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I tried a femanin dance yoga class while on vacation and loved it.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Don’t be intimidated, nobody starts the practice being able to touch their toes! That’s the point of committing to the practice is to build that strength and flexibility so don’t worry if you have felt yourself inflexible or none athletic. Yoga can be accommodated for all body types and all ranges of motion.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Identify injuries and health conditions that need to be taken into consiteration with a wellness plan.
