Actor/director
About
I prepare students with one minute, 3 minute, or five minute monologues. These can be used for auditions at theaters or auditions from Seniors in high school to get into college with a Theatre degree. I have been acting and directing since 1965 and am known for my patience and my talents. Give me a try I'm definitely worth it.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Getting to know the student and what level they're at.... Then we will decide what type of rolls are good for them. Are you an ingenue? Are you a character actor? Never audition for a part that you cannot get.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have two degrees in theater. 1 in performance one in directing and a teaching certificate.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Generally it's about $25 an hour if you come to me and $35 an hour if I go to you.
How did you get started teaching?
A director is always a teacher.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with people who want to be actors from age six to eighty. I think that I love preparing students who are Juniors and or seniors in high school for their auditions to get into a college theater program.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
A recent event that is coming up is that I am directing Biloxi Blues at Osceola Arts mainstage. I am looking forward to working with six actors who are between 18 and 24. One actor who is 35 - 40 and to actresses one of whom is about 24 the other about 40. So the event are my auditions on September 17th and 18th... It is always good to work with a teacher who is a working performer and or director.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
You might try several teachers see who you communicate best with... My personal style is working hard with a complete positive attitude toward you and your soon-to-be performance.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Know what you want to get out of yourself. Why are you taking this class? Is it for confidence-building? Is it to be prepared for your next audition? What do you want to get out of yourself.
