My business stands out for some phenomenal reasons. First I am attentive to the student’s learning styles. I will prepare lessons in order for the students to apply their learning styles to the instructional goal set for any given lesson. Secondly, I make sure that students always utilize prior knowledge. The third significant point is that my students will always engage in an I do We Do, You Do teaching approach. Lastly, I will utilize hands on techniques to make the sessions, meaningful, interesting and innovative. These are a few ways that my business stands out.
I have a strong passion for teaching. This has started my 20th year teaching middle schoolers, but I have always wanted to teach since I was in the 1st grade.
I have a B.A. in English/ Language and Lit. I have a M.S. in Reading with the concentration of 6th-12th graders, M. S. in Criminal Justice. My certification covers 6th-12th grade English. I also ha e a Reading Endorsement and an ESOL Endorsement. I have tutored ESOL students, General Ed, 504, gifted students and ESE students.
I have won Whose Who, Teacher of the Month, Teacher of the Year and a plethora amount of wards and certificates since I have been teaching.
I have always wanted to teach since the 1st grade so working with the students, their different learning styles and their different strengths and weaknesses have always been a passion I have had.
I have been teaching English, Reading, Writing, and ESOL curriculum for 20 years. I have taught in the states of Georgia, Florida and Maryland.
As mentioned I have a Professional Teaching Certificate in English Language and Literature
I have an ESOL Endorsement with 300 required State hours
I have a Reading Endorsement
I am making plans to also become TOEFL certified in the next few months.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I always give a diagnostic test with the parents' permission to test prior knowledge.
Once the diagnostic test is scored I work with the student on the level he or she scored the lowest on. My created documents will take the students through different phases. So I do not just focus on a tutoring session. I strive to increase clients' reading comprehension levels also.

30.00 an hour, but I will work with a client.
How did you get started teaching?
I always wanted to be a teacher since I was in the 1st grade. I never wanted to get into another profession. I went to college and majored in English. I never stopped there. After college, I took the Praxis test and the rest is history. I love the field.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with high honors students, ESOL students, ADHD students, Asbergers' students, IEP students, Level 1&Level 2 students, ESE students, elementary, middle school students, College prep students, and adults.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I have started a book project that I am quite fond of.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I definitely will tell the student to look at experience, diligence, integrity, reliability, dependability, and energetic ways. This is to name several.
