What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would sugggest that you need to get to know the person you would like to work with. Spendng time on the phone shoudl allow you the opportunity to get to know them and see if they can meet your needs.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
They should want to know if the tutor has experice in their specialty area. I would want ot be able to see their resume and query them on it. I would also ask to see a copy of their certifications.
