American Martial Arts Center
About
Our martial arts school has a family feel to it, and our classes are centered in a fun but serious atmosphere. The main focus of our school is learning how to defend yourself. Whether you're a kid or an adult, knowing what to do and how to do it is what we are all about. I have been teaching martial arts for over 30 years. I've studied Kempo Karate, traditional and Olympic style Taekwondo, Hapkido, Jujitsu, Weapons, and Kyusho (dim-mak). I've brought it all together and created the curriculum of American Martial Arts.
Being able to impact a students life through the Martial Arts is one of the most rewarding parts of teaching. Watching a person grow and develop the ability to protect themselves through our martial arts program, as well as build the power and strength they need in their body to do so, is what its all about.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Typically we have the student come in for a free trial class. The student takes part in both group and individual training. New students are then paired off one on one with a black belt instructor for more indivisualized training.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All of our black belt instructors are kukkiwon certified black belts. The Kukkiwon is the largest governing body for taekwondo in the world. Master Brian Fleck currently holds the rank of 4th degree black belt, kukkiwon. Other arts include: Jujitsu, Hapkido, Weapons, and Karate.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
After the Free trial class, lessons are $105.00 per month.
How did you get started teaching?
I was heavily influenced by Martial Arts films growing up. As a teenager I asked an older friend of mine if he would teach me. He was a brown belt in karate. After the first lesson I joined the dojo.
What types of students have you worked with?
I work with students as young as three years old, teens, adults, and as mature as our senior community.
