About
Overtime Coaching is a new and starting business in South Florida. It is run by myself, Foster Etkin. I have trained in the sport of baseball since I was very young, I am now 18 years old and looking to bring the youth into the game as I was, and to give them a jumpstart in the world of baseball. My goal is simple, to help the youth be the best they can be both on and off the field.
I enjoy being on the field, and I enjoy seeing the kids I coach share the same love for the game I do. I like to see motivated kids work with me to achieve their goals.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I typically give a new student a day of evaluation so I can test their fitness level and their skill level on the field, all while I'm getting to know them and how they think. After I get an idea of where they stand, I take my lessons from there and work to logically progress their skills further.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been training in baseball for as long as I can remember, and I have played for high schools and multiple travel leagues. I have also been invited to tournaments and scrimmage games. I spent a lot of time with my younger cousins coaching them and building their skills, and after seeing how they turned out after a few months of training, I decided to broaden my services to other people such as yourself.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Whereas other baseball coaches may charge around $60 or $75 for an hour or 90 minutes, I charge around $35 for the hour, $40 for the 90 minute session, and $45 for the two hour session. If a student is willing to train longer, I can negotiate a further price with a parent or guardian.
How did you get started teaching?
I began my coaching journey with my two younger cousins as a favor to my aunt who was trying to prepare them for the upcoming little league baseball season. I made sure to put hours in and build their skills and strength and knowledge of the game to put them in tip top shape for their season. After seeing how they turned out I decided to stick with it and help other youth build their skills.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have not worked with many students on the baseball field, however, I am also certified to teach swim courses and lifeguard courses. I have worked with all types of different students in those fields of many ages. I usually try my best to get to know how my students think so that I can find the best way to instruct them.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I advise any student looking for a baseball coach to be sure that they are getting the right training. Most coaches today will just hit ground balls or fly balls for two hours straight, where any good coach will help their players work to outperform everyone else on the field.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Students and parents alike should definitely be sure that the player has a sense of self-awareness and priority. These traits will not only make results come faster, but learning so much easier!
