About

In the twenty-nine years since its founding, the Police Athletic League of Manatee County has played a major role in the transformation of youth from a county with too many unproductive, unsupervised kids with too much time to get into trouble to one providing these youths with a valuable structured program.

PAL provides a safe place where athletics and academic reinforcement instill pride, responsibility, self-confidence, teamwork, and respect in the youth it serves. We strive to be the most affordable and outstanding sports program in Manatee County. This relationship helps to prevent gang violence and drug activity using educational and sports activities. PAL is based on the strong belief that children, if reached early enough, can develop a strong positive attitude in their journey through life.

Manatee PAL provides programs for youth with wide and varying interests. These programs seek to develop mind and body through academics and sports training. PAL’s new “touch” football program called G57v7 is being coached by a volunteer NFL quarterback, Adrian McPherson. This league was created by NFL quarterback, Adrian McPherson and MCSO Deputy Ralph Bryant Officer Bryant because both of these coaches recognize the importance of keeping children off the streets, out of the hands of negative influences, giving them hope for their future and they are aware of the amount of talent in our communities. G57v7 is more than just another football game, it is a ticket for many children's futures
