About
My life changing experience brought me to the Art of painting on Silk. Upon graduating from Ohio State University, 1966. I spent three years as a US Peace Corps volunteer in the Philippines. Afterward I went to Java and studied Batik under Indonesia’s Master Batik Artist Bambang Oetoro. The opportunity to live and work with a master craftsmen quite literally opened me to my life passions within me. The love of textile arts and the connection of art in my spiritual direction. 35 years later, I am in my studio in Sarasota Florida preparing a major exhibition of Orchid paintings on silk. I can still see that young person that sat down to study Batik in Indonesia 35 years ago. Today, I still feel the same creative spirit in the world of silk and I am delighted to share this with you.
I am very greatful I have been gift and so enjoy art, color, fabric and the art of painting scarves. I enjoy seeing art clothing and making art to wear
