About
In 1983, I became the First Assistant to legendary, award-winning, Southern California PGA Golf Professional, Richard Chavez. Three years later, I was the Head Golf Professional at Twin Lakes Golf Course in Goleta, California.
My love for the game of golf set me on a course of both playing and especially teaching.
I have always enjoyed passing on my experiences through teaching, whether it was Hang Gliding, drums, water skiing, mentoring ice hockey officials, coaching High School golf or being a PGA Golf Professional.
Golf has always been my true passion and I am convinced that sharing my coaching expertise in putting, chipping, full swing, playing strategy and dealing with the voices in our heads, is what I enjoy most and do best.
It is a privilege to be a Certified PGA Golf Instructor.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a Certified PGA Teaching Professional and have been enjoying every minute since 1984! Less than 5% of the 30,000 plus PGA members are "Certified".
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$60 for one 45 minute lesson or $250 for 5 lessons. $90 for 1 hour or $350 for five 1 hour lessons. Worth every nickel, guaranteed or no charge!
How did you get started teaching?
Working as an Assistant Golf Professional for Richard Chavez in Santa Barbara California.
What types of students have you worked with?
From Juniors to Seniors from beginners to professionals. I give 100% attention to everyone because they deserve it.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I was honored to be one of three PGA Teaching Professionals to lend my expertise to 30 local PGA members for a Teaching Summit here in Tampa.
Being asked to teach fellow PGA teachers is especially gratifying.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Speak with all of the potential instructors who contacted you. Be sure they are open minded and have strong credentials. There are untold numbers of ways to swing a golf club.
There is NO set method that fits all players!!
