About

TPC Tampa Bay really embraces the golf student. We have a great practice facility and will get students out on the course for certain lessons, which re-enforces playing conditions.

Teaching is a calling. If I can reach one student and have a lasting effect, then all of the work I've put in is worth it. Just talking about the golf swing excites me and thats because I don't know everything about the golf swing. I am constantly learning and thats reason enough for me to enjoy this game.

Frequently asked questions

A new student is the best project. A new student has less bad habits to un-learn. I deal in fundamentals alone. A golf swing is as unique to an individual as a fingerprint. I can not give you your golf swing, that is for you to learn. But, I can put you on the right path to finding your golf swing with the correct fundamentals.

I am currently moving through the PGA Apprentice program to become a Class A teaching professional.

My pricing system is dictated by TPC Tampa Bay. $40 for 1/2 hour or $160 for 5 lessons, which is 1 free lesson. I always stress the package deal as it gives us time to make his/her game better.

I got started teaching by falling in love with the game and understanding that this is what I want to do until I am physically incapable of swinging a wedge. Its impossible to perfect the game of golf, which is the most intriguing aspect of this game to me.

I have worked with all types of students and juniors. New students and experienced golfers are great projects alike. It takes having a different approach for each student to be successful. Everyone learns differnetly and at different paces. Thats what makes teaching interesting.

Jim Furyk's 58 at the Traveler's Championship is something to be fond of. With a swing that I'm sure he was told wouldn't work, he now holds the lowest round in history. And that is what golf is about.

The best advice I can give a student is to have an open mind and be prepared to work. Practice is something every golfer loves to do, but we have to practice correctly to be efficient and succeed at golf. My job is to give you the tools to be successful.
