I try to teach a multitude of different things. I teach songs, note reading, scales, solos, chords, theory and improvisation.

I usually assess the students playing ability by seeing wht they can play. I then customize a listen plan for that particular student.
A guitar lesson with me might entail the following:
I usually spend half the lesson working on songs that the student would like to learn and the other half explaining to them why they are playing what they are playing.
The qualities I look for in an ideal guitar student might include the following:
Someone who is attentive and willing to learn.
