Let me begin by introducing myself. My name is Denise Russo and I am a retired teacher with more than 25 years of classroom experience teaching children of various ages and special needs.

Since retiring I have studied Yoga more thoroughly and became a certified Yoga teacher. My passion for women's health led me to specialize in women's health issues, more specifically pelvic floor yoga and pre-natal/post-natal yoga.

I’m so excited to have the opportunity to share my love for yoga. As an avid practitioner of yoga, I fully believe in the numerous benefits of mindfulness, relaxation, focus and developing coping mechanisms for anxiety and stress. The postures (asanas) I teach along with the breath work (pranayama) and deep relaxation will help strengthen the nervous system and facilitate the development of body awareness and concentration.

Pelvic floor issues can be exhibited in many different ways and stress incontinence is one of the most common. It's vital for women to know more about the pelvic floor, especially during pivotal transformations such as pre and post-natal and pre and post-menopause. Yoga can assist with maintaining and understanding a healthy pelvic floor.

I thoroughly enjoy helping people understand their potential for taking charge of their own physical and emotional well-being. Working with my clients in their own environment allows them to relax and practice in the moment without distractions that a studio can exhibit.
