About
The methods I use and share with other actors of all levels focuses on building from the inside out. Building motivations, desires, characters and scenes from a point of deep meaning to the actor. This approach encourages actors to create grounded and visceral interpretations for the screen or stage. It's intense and fulfilling work.
I love to experience our transformation into truth. Meaning, often we mask ourselves from the world. Acting provides an opportunity to remove that mask and be vulnerable out in the open where others get to see, and emotionally feel our truth. These moments are what drive me.

What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all ages groups, from children to seniors. Primarily these students are just starting out but eager to jump into acting.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Recently I was honored to recieve an award from one of my acting heros, Mr. Taurean Blacque, best known for his role on Hill Street Blues. This year his organization awarded several actors for their theatrical work. Outstanding Lead Actor went to yours truly, for my role as Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in Katori Hall's The Mountain Top. Best moment ever!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would advise anyone looking for an acting teacher to first have an idea of what they're looking to accomplish. Goals always help, then shop around and see who lines up with those goals and fits your style the best.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
1. What plays, movies or shows are you most drawn to?
2. What types of roles can you envision yourself in?
3. What stories really light you up?
4. What's your why? There's a lot of disappointment in this business. What's going to keep you getting up a giving it shot after shot after shot?
