Tom Rhoads is an Atlanta based improviser, actor, writer and director who has been performing improvised and scripted material for over a decade. When he’s not busy bouncing Tom can be seen performing his one man show, Sleeping Giant in theaters and at colleges across the country. Tom is a writer, performer, producer and director of HighWire Comedy Company’s Good Evening Tonight, Atlanta's only live weekly news based show and has also appeared on Adult Swim. Originally from Chicago, Tom studied and performed at The Second City Training Center of which he is a conservatory graduate.
Tom has a ton of experience and is able to relate that experience into what we are working on. His notes are always awesome and getting into the small parts of tweaking things is what I am excited about most for where we are with him. He can go broad with the teaching and can also get into some amazing detail. The double bonus for me is how quick he sees “the game” and has made us be able to get into that a lot better. I give him 12 out of 5 stars.
Tom is a super supportive coach. He’s great at creating a safe space for you to experiment and try new things. He’s on point when we meet, gives great notes, and always willing to explain the finer points. You’d be lucky to have him as your coach!
Tom is very patient and a great listener! His feedback is constructive and to the point. He provides great pointers on characters and how to "play the game" to the best of our ability! Tom has been an awesome coach for our new improv troupe.
