About
I am a certified United States Masters Swimming Coach, a Nationally ranked competitive swimmer, and I train Individual adult athletes that want to improve their competitive edge in the pool or in the open water.
I began my water journey at 5 years old, competeted in age group, High School and into College where I swam on a four year scholarship for the Northern Illinois University Huskies. After a 15 year break, I returned to my 'God Hug', the pool, and began competing on a USMS team in Atlanta Georgia. To my surprise I was still pretty fast and I now compete all over the world improving my performance each year.
During my own training sessions, other adult swimmers and adult beginners started approaching me to help them with stroke technique, endurance, and core training. I then decided to take on some clients as they began training for swimmimg competitions, triathlons, fitness goals, physical injuries, or other health reasons.
I got back into swimming to overcome my own opsticles so I can definitely identify when others that are facing their own fears. That is why my calling is in the water and why Swimming Into Serenity was created. There is no other place where you can hear your own heartbeat than while submerged in the cool abyss of water.
My unique style is simple, I train in the water with you, not on a deck. I formulate a lesson based on your skill set. I use underwater video to deconstruct your stroke and workouts based on your goals.
I only train adults 25+
I love helping others and I learned along time ago that you can't keep your skills to yourself .....you have to give back.
