What I enjoy most about teaching yoga is the connection I get with my students and watching them grow and have their "Ah HA!" moments along the way. I love being able to break down what seems like a difficult or advanced pose and have it totally make sense and be do-able to a student. I love seeing their confidence grow and connect the work that they do on the mat, with their lives off of the mat.

    Frequently asked questions

I like to have a conversation with my student to establish a connection and set goals - both long term and short term goals.  Once we have an outline, I compose yoga sessions centered precisely around those goals.  Goals can be for physical appearance, emotional and mental health, other health issues, overcoming trauma, easing depression and anxiety, calming work related stress, or any combination from this list.  There are many possiblities, classes can be tailor made for the student and can cover a range of needs and wants.

I started teaching because yoga has made such a profound impact on my life in so many ways that I wanted to be able to extend that to others.

Yoga has helped and continues to help me overcome many obstacles in my life - physically, mentally and emotionally.

It makes me so happy to teach, it is so fullfilling and meaningful.  I cannot imagine my life without yoga and without teaching yoga.  I love to share that with others.

I love working with students who have never tried yoga but are curious.

I love working with beginners who have tried a time or a few, but might be uncomfortable with practicing with others yet.

I love working with students who are overcoming trauma or addiction and who are looking for transformation.  I come from a trauma informed perspective on yoga and love to work with people in that area.

No matter what might be holding you back, please know that you are not alone.

I have worked with a variety of students from all ages and all walks of life and abilities.  I have worked with small children, the elderly and everything in between.  I have worked with students who are overcoming addiction, trauma, injury and illness.  I have worked with students with very limited mobility to students who can do far more advanced poses than myself or many teachers that I know.  We all have something to learn from one another.
