As an exercise physiologist and a certified FLT Lifestyle Educator I use my 29 years of experience designing customized fitness programs that incorporate strength, endurance, balance, flexibility and sound nutrition principles. My goal is to lead my clients down the path to Optimal Health.
There is nothing better than seeing the smile on my clients face when they tell me that they can now fit into their jeans or pass their latest physical with flying colors or out drive their buddies by 20 yards or play with their grand children and not get winded or no longer have pain in their knees and shoulders or......

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I always start with a comprehensive fitness assessment to establish baselines. This allows us to establish short and long term goals. After the assessment and goal setting I take a few pictures because it's important to show my client changes that are taking place as they improve their fitness level such as posture. Nutrition is key to weight loss (specifically fat loss) so I have them fill out a three day food log, which we review after their first training session. Then the FUN begins!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
BS in Exercise Science from Appalachian State University
Certified in Echocardiography to learn more about the heart and circulatory system
29 years of experience in the health and fitness business
Written two books, The FITT Golfer and Balanced Nutrition
