I love sharing my passion for the language and culture of Spanish speaking countries. I want my students to develop a love as well. I triy to make my student feel comfortable about making mistakes while developing fluency with the language. It's through making many mistakes that we learn.
Also pronunciation and creating a native like accent is important si I spend a lot of time on working on that skill in the beginning.
My goal is to help you reach YOUR goals, whatever they may been. We will work together to achieve them.

I have over 30 years experience teaching Spanish in the Classroom. I am passionate about the language and the culture. I desire to instill and cultivate this love to others that are interested in the language for personal and professional reasons. I enjoy traveling; especially to Spanish speaking countries. I have led several trips abroad with students exposing them total immersion.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I meet students where they are and ask them what their needs and desires are. By asking these two questions I open up dialogue for us to discuss realistic goals for themselves.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Well I studied in Madrid, Spain for a year during college. I wanted to immerse myself in a country where the language I was learning was all around me. This experience ignited in me a passion for travel, the culture of the many Spanish speaking countries as well as the people. Over my last 30 years of teaching I've taught student as young as 5 years old to adults. I currently teach High School Spanish from levels I through Advanced Placement Spanish.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I individualize my instruction based on students needs so no, I do not have a standard pricing system. It is very much customized to meet the needs of my clients.
How did you get started teaching?
I started in the NYC public schools in 1992. I was working in corporate America, but after 3 years I was determined to put my B.A. degree in Spanish to work and decided to teach what I loved.
What types of students have you worked with?
All types from novice to advanced learners of all ages.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I am grateful and blessed to say that they've been many.. One that stands out is being voted Teacher of the year by my colleagues, students and community. Also, to see my youngest graduate from high school and enter college this year....a very proud moment.
