About
I have taught piano for 13 years in the north Atlanta area. I love to teach and I am a third generation teacher. I am a active member of MTNA and offer regular instruction and the Royal Academy of Music Development Program. My training comes from Furman University and the University of Georgia. My book, "Practical Piano Techniques", aids teachers and students in efficient development practices. I am also a music composer and and have sold over 40,000 piano CDs, so I love to encourage creativity with students! Here is my official bio:
Keith Phillips is a classically trained pianist and composer from Atlanta, GA. He attended Furman University in piano performance under John Roberts (Van Cliburn finalist, music and academic scholarships) and holds a BBA in Accounting from the University of Georgia. He received training with concert pianists Ernestine Smith, Gellert Modos, and Marilyn Neely (Van Cliburn cash winner). He also studied composition with Leo Smit, a student of Dmitri Kabalevsky.
