What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Listening and understanding where they are mentally. Watching them play in order to evaluate what to work on.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been playing for 40 years. I was a standout player as a kid.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$30 for 30 minutes and $50 for an hour.
How did you get started teaching?
I started as a volunteer through St Procopius Church in Chicago.
What types of students have you worked with?
Ages 10-16
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
It's the relationships that I've built and kept over the years with the ballplayers.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure it's fun and that the teacher/coach is a great communicator. Making it fun is important.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
There is no such thing as a stupid question, so anything.
