About
I have 13 years of professional baseball experience and love passing on all my knowledge. I Personalize each lesson to each student's needs and ability. No 2 pitchers are alike. Everyone has there style and people shouldn't try to alter that. It's not just about the mechanics and how to grip a pitch (which is all very important), it's about connecting with the athlete and break things down for them. the physical and the mental part as well. Baseball is 90% mental so why don't we teach that part as well. A great pitcher has a game plan to attack a hitter and that is what I believe I did well in my playing days and hope to pass on to the next best man in line. Why not you?!!
I love to talk baseball with anyone who will listen.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The first lesson with a new client is a basic break down of the mechanics be it pitching or hitting. I will talk to them asking some questions on what they want to get accomplished with the lesson and then watch and break down any mechanical flaws I may see. I'm a firm believer that solid mechanics is what can keep a ballplayer out of big-time slumps. I also feel the connection has to be there between student and teacher. This is a game and it has to be fun along as instructional.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have played for 13 years professionally in which time was have had some great pitching coaches like John Franco of the New York Mets.
I have been training athletes for the last 4+ years of all ages at several baseball academies in the Chicagoland area.

How did you get started teaching?
For the love of the game! I don't think there is a better feeling helping a ballplayer reach their goals. Getting that text or call saying their son or daughter made the team or hearing about the successes they have in their games as a result of the hard work they put in with me.
What types of students have you worked with?
Male and Female athletes ranging in ages from 7-18 years old. If there is anyone that wants to improve their game and is willing to work hard for it, then I will help them.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Competing in the 2004 Olympics in Athens and the 2006 World Baseball Classic has to be at the top of my list. Being on the same field and competing against players as David Ortiz (one of my favorite players) and Miguel Cabrera was amazing. A select few of baseball players can say they were part of the Olympic games and World Baseball Classic in their careers.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
You have to make sure the trainer has a positive personality and makes the lesson a fun experience. Without fun, the hard work will be left behind. He has to be knowledgeable and willing to challenge the student to achieve their goals too.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
If a student feels they have a need, then they shouldn't be afraid to speak their mind. In sports or in life knowledge is power! You can not achieve greatness without looking for answers.
