Greetings, I am Michael Orr, a five (5) time U.S Figure Skating National competitor and regional champion.
I foster and encourage the growth and development in the performing arts with the emphasis on figure skating.
My classes are designed to teach students of all ages and backgrounds in a positive and fun environment.
As the skating and theatre director, it is my responsibility and goal to provide the best possible education necessary for each member to reach their maximum potential on ice and on stage to the best of my ability and the ability of the student.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Admission to my academy is open to everyone of all ages.
Standards are very high in our academy in all areas.
During the first class, I will evaluate each student to determine their skill abilities. This is a fun process where we skate to music during the entire time. We encourage all voice levels and abilities to gain confidence and self esteem within each student.
Learning is not a passive activity. It is active. So we encourage our students to engage and completely immerse themselves in class.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have coached and skated for the past 30 years. Member of U.S. Figure Skating, certified with the Profesional Skaters Association and the Learn to Skate USA program. CPR certified. Performed in several dance companies in college and in Hollywood.
