I am a nationally certified music teacher with over 30 years of preparatory and college teaching. I am on faculty at Elgin Community College and am active as a performer, accompanist, and Church musician. Many of my students have won music scholarships to colleges and some are now on faculty themselves. I enjoy helping students of all ages and levels of experience find their joy in making music. My students participate in area recitals and competitions as well as evaluative auditions and the American Grands Concerts.

I have my Masters Degree in Piano Performance with highest honors from Chicago College of Performing Arts and was staff accompanist at the Universities of Illinois and Michigan. It has been my pleasure to have appeared as soloist with Symphony Orchestras and at the Ravinia Festival.

Teaching is as much an art as performing. It gives me great joy to engage students’ imagination and open them up to their own creative potential! I renew teaching ideas attending workshops, performances, and conferences. Summers of 2017 and 2018, I participated in the Oxford Piano Festival at Oxford University in England. It was inspiring to hear young pianists and speak to colleagues from all over the world!
